It’s Thursday which means it’s the day before Friday which means yay! How was everyone’s Easter weekends? Charlie and I started a “tradition” a few years ago with my family where we always surprise each other with a visit – like my sister showed up on my birthday and knocked on our apartment door and of course I was flustered because who would be knocking at like 10pm but I got over that fast when I saw her cute little face through the peep hole! So we decided to surprise my family for Easter – I even dressed up in my pink bunny onesie with accompanying bunny ears and hopped into the house.. Pretty sure that was a sight for sore eyes…..
These jeans from Revice are for real like my second skin at the moment. They are the comfiest denim I have ever worn – think the perfect amount of stretch and a super smooth feeling. And I love how each of their pieces (including the shirt) have such a lived in vintage vibe. Good vibes only, am I right? ;)
Hey loves! Here are a few photos from my instagram – Charlie was away last week and I went to visit my family in New Hampshire so we haven’t had time to take tons of blog photos lately :/ Soooo I figured since I post so many photos on my insta I would share some of the outfits here too!
DRESS | SIMILAR SKINNY SCARF ^ LOVING chokers lately.. Until I expand my choker collection I have been tying ribbons and skinny scarves around my neck and turning the knot to the back. Works like a charm ;)
Here is a tutorial for a half up crown braid! I had someone ask me how to do this one from an instagram shot I did a while ago so I thought it would be the perfect hairstyle to do this week!
This crown braid is actually really easy if you already have the hang of dutch braiding down. I did a separate tutorial for how to do this so check that one out before if you are new to braiding or just need a refresher (nothing wrong with that!!). And remember to practice practice practice! I definitely did not get this on the first try so don’t get defeated if you don’t either!
And don’t forget, I am uploading a new tutorial for you guys every Tuesday, so make sure to subscribe to my channel!
Does anyone else feel like headscarfs are sent from heaven? I was being such a procrastinator taking these photos and Charlie and I ended up having to wake up super early and take these before he left for work in the morning (and I am not not NOT a morning person. I seriously need at least ten hours of sleep or else I am such a crank-opotamous..) So anyways I wasn’t a great planner and 1. I am lucky I even kept my eyes open (or did I? thanks sunnies) 2. I did not want to do my hair, let alone wash my hair (hello fifth day hair and enter headscarf!). The scarf is from the cutest company called Iweartheheadress and it is the softest silk that they hand-dye. It was totally love at first sight. It is sold out on their website, but I linked one that is dyed the same way up above!
I have been crushing on druzys for aaaages. I have never been a huge jewelry person, but for some reason when I browse pinterest I always end up repinning these kinds of pieces. I think it’s because I love the look of the natural shimmer it has or how gorg the colors of the quartz are, but either way I am kinda obsessed. And this one is definitely no exception. I love the gold accents and how unique the triangular shape is. It was almost made to go with all the triangular cut outs of the dress (yay summer dresses!) :)
Charlie and I are headed to New Hampshire this weekend to go to an Avett Brothers concert which I am sooo excited for! We have seen them live once before and it was by far the best concert I have ever been to so I can’t wait! Ekk! Hope you guys have a super fun weekend!
Happy Thursday! It is finally June but it feels like April here! So chilly and rainy. Luckily I took these photos last weekend because I would have been freezing my butt off otherwise! This is a whole lot of belly but I just couldn’t resist with this ah-mazing cropped shirt from Tobi. The bell sleeves and lace detail are so perfect and give off such a seventies vibe. And why not just go all out and wear the best round sunnies imaginable. I mean, I so do not have a favorite decade of style (well maybe not the eighties as much..), but there is something so cool about the seventies, like they didn’t really try that hard but looked effortlessly chic.
What do you guys think? What is your favorite decade of style?
