It’s Thursday which means it’s the day before Friday which means yay! How was everyone’s Easter weekends? Charlie and I started a “tradition” a few years ago with my family where we always surprise each other with a visit – like my sister showed up on my birthday and knocked on our apartment door and of course I was flustered because who would be knocking at like 10pm but I got over that fast when I saw her cute little face through the peep hole! So we decided to surprise my family for Easter – I even dressed up in my pink bunny onesie with accompanying bunny ears and hopped into the house.. Pretty sure that was a sight for sore eyes…..
These jeans from Revice are for real like my second skin at the moment. They are the comfiest denim I have ever worn – think the perfect amount of stretch and a super smooth feeling. And I love how each of their pieces (including the shirt) have such a lived in vintage vibe. Good vibes only, am I right? ;)
And an extra video post this week? Who am I?! I have been wanting to do this one for a while because I love learning new ways to wear headscarfs! And I was originally going to do ten different ways, but my camera cut out before the last one (one of my favorites!…..) and I didn’t realize it so I didn’t refilm it :( but as Charlie assured me, NINE IS FINE :) So here are nine of my new favorite ways to wear a headscarf!
Which is your favorite? I am especially fond of the first top knot (because it is so easy) and the bows!
Also, the song Dream Love that I used in this video is by the amazingly talented Megan Joy (who I have been obsessed with for years!). So you guys absolutely need to check her out too (instagram and youtube)!
Hope you guys liked this little extra treat and TGIF!
I have something to admit… I haven’t washed my hair in six days. I usually try for five days (and it is a bit too greasy even then), but yesterday I just wasn’t feelin’ it.. A major case of the hair lazies. So instead I curled it and wrapped it up..
When my hair is dirty I usually go through a list in my head. I could either:
a. put it up in a ponytail
b. wear a hat
c. wear a headscarf
d. use (lots and lots of) dry shampoo
But I will wash it today, I promise…. (I guess I don’t have much of a choice now that I just told you that)
PS SNEAK PEEK ALERT: I filmed a video about TEN ways to wear a headscarf and it is going up on my youtube channel sometime soon (hint hint: tomorrow) as a little extra treat this week! So make sure to check that out and I will put it up on my blog as well so get excited!
I picture myself wearing this on a tropical beach with dolphins jumping and there being the prettiest of sunsets or something, but I’ll just hang out on the good old Long Island sound and close my eyes and envision that! Because the sound of waves and the feeling of the warm sun is the same everywhere right?!
I have a major lace problem. White lace, crochet tops, it doesn’t matter to me I just want it all. But I guess there could be worse things….. (or that’s what I’ll keep telling myself)
PS sorry for the headscarf repeat. I actually pretty much want to wear it every day so….. I’m gonna wear it every day. It’s a thing now. I’m turning into the head wrap girl and I am so okay with it.
Happy Thursday! It is finally June but it feels like April here! So chilly and rainy. Luckily I took these photos last weekend because I would have been freezing my butt off otherwise! This is a whole lot of belly but I just couldn’t resist with this ah-mazing cropped shirt from Tobi. The bell sleeves and lace detail are so perfect and give off such a seventies vibe. And why not just go all out and wear the best round sunnies imaginable. I mean, I so do not have a favorite decade of style (well maybe not the eighties as much..), but there is something so cool about the seventies, like they didn’t really try that hard but looked effortlessly chic.
What do you guys think? What is your favorite decade of style?
