HOW TO: DOUBLE BRAID HALF UP TUTORIAL

Step by step half up braided tutorial

Okay so, it’s been three days and you are planning on washing your hair tomorrow. Instead of throwing your hair up in your normal ballerina bun,  try this super easy half up hair do. It looks fancier than it is which is always a plus! The trick is to really tease your hair and make it look messy so that has a cooler, undone vibe. It is definitely one of my go-to’s so I hope you like it too!

1. Part your hair deep on one side. Take a triangular section of hair above your ear and do a small dutch french braid and continue with a regular braid to about halfway down your hair. Secure with an elastic. Repeat on other side.

2. Put your hair back into a middle part. Take a two inch portion of hair about a third of the way back on your head and braid it like normal all the way to the bottom. Secure with an elastic and repeat on the other side.

3. Pull apart your braids. This makes them look thicker and also more messy. This look is a bit more undone than put together, so you will want to pull them apart quite a bit. Do this by using one hand to hold the elastic steady and your other to pull each section outward until it is fuller.

4. Tease the crown of your head and pull both french braids tightly to the back. Pin in back.
