Tis the season to eat a lot of good food! And be jolly and celebrate with loved ones but FOOD..
Does your family have any specific traditions at Christmas? We celebrate Christmas eve with my Grandmother (who is Polish – we call her Babcia) and we have a family meal that night with other Polish traditions – the youngest child has to look for the first star before the meal begins, straw is put under the table cloth to signify the manger, we do not eat meat (thank god for lots of pierogi!) and we break the oplatki wafers with each family member and give them a blessing for the new year. I am so thankful that we have been able to keep up the tradition every year and celebrate each other and our blessings.
These cookies are actually from a family tradition from Charlie’s fam and now we have to make every year because they are the softest yummiest best Christmas cookies everrrrr. So put on some Christmas music and let’s bake.
